Nrep hires the former Mayor of Copenhagen as Director of Urban Development

The former Mayor of Copenhagen, Jens Kramer Mikkelsen, has joined Nrep to provide vision and strategic leadership for the company’s urban developments across the Nordic region.

Bringing visions to life

Jens Kramer Mikkelsen has played a central role in the development of the “Copenhagen Model” for city development, where sales and developments of publicly-owned urban land plots are being used to finance strategic infrastructure projects. Jens Kramer Mikkelsen’s urban development experience includes his pioneering work as Mayor of Copenhagen 1989-2004 and subsequently three years at the Ørestad Development Company as well as 11 years as CEO of CPH City & Port Development, the publicly owned company that is charged with shaping the future of Copenhagen.
